Lauren has just started with F4L Triathlon Coaching. She has a strong background in swimming, but has recently taken up Triathlon. Aiming to be competitive... this is her story:
Why do you do Triathlon:
Triathlon has always appealed to me, it takes 3 sports I enjoy and puts them together. I love the challenge!
What is your sporting back ground:
From a very young age I was a competitive swimmer. I have raced at British Nationals both open water and in the pool.
Eight years ago I began playing underwater hockey, I’ve gone on to represent GB ladies in European and World Championships.
What attracted you to F4L:
I wanted a coach who could understand my hectic lifestyle and fit a training programme around it, whilst allowing me to gain confidence and reach my triathlon goals.
I had been recommended Coach Paul from F4L Triathlon Coaching by a few fellow triathletes.
What are your targets:
My first goal is to grow in confidence with cycling and running. Fundamentally though, I want to enjoy competing in triathlons.
My ultimate goal is to go to a competition as a competitor.
