Recently signed up with F4L Triathlon Coaching, Connie comes from a different sporting background, and this is the introduction to her story!
I enjoy doing triathlons as I love being outside, like to have structure in my daily life which has allowed me to really see the benefit of ‘being consistent’ can do to help you achieve. Most of all I like doing triathlons because I like to eat lots of food.
My sporting background began with skiing. I started doing ski seasons as a ski instructor during university and started competing in downhill ski races. During the covid lockdown I started cycling and fell in love with it. From cycling I did a couple of duathlons and then really started enjoying it – so thought about moving into triathlons, from there I really got the tri-bug and have loved it ever since.
I chose F4L Triathlon Coaching as Coach Paul has over 15 years of experience as a triathlon coach, he is accredited with a plethora of coaching qualifications around ironman, sports coaching and biomechanics, to name a few. I feel that F4L Triathlon Coaching is best placed to help me achieve my goals of becoming a better triathlete, staying consistent with my training and pushing myself to achieve the next goal.
My targets are to Qualify for IM 70.3 world champs, Swim 2km in under 1.45/100m, Run 21km under 4:45/km (1h40), Cycle 90km at 34km/h. Improve cycling FTP. and to have more consistent strength / conditioning training plans to avoid niggles.
