I first met Susan when I was coaching in Western Australia. She then moved back ‘over East’ but now she is back, motivated, driven and excited about training again…
Why do you do Triathlon: I enjoy the training – sticking to the plan and seeing the results both physically and mentally. Racing can scare me – but when I am out of my comfort zone that’s when I look back and feel like I can do/achieve anything.
What is your sporting back ground: As a child I played netball but I spent most of my 20’s and 30’s as the frumpy mummy – I was about 35 when I discovered walking and running. I bought a bike in 2012 and loved loved loved it!!!! Found my mojo on the bike and never looked back ?
What attracted you to F4L Triathlon Coaching: I saw the Phoenix in the logo (Paul’s club in Western Australia – Phoenix Triathlon Club) – and that’s my spirit animal ? I have kept coming back as I enjoy the programs written by Coach Paul Jones and always see progression and improvement.
What are your targets: Cairns half in 2021, maybe Julia Creek Dirt and Dust in April 2021
Favourite motivational quote: Sky above me, Earth below me, Fire within me…… But when I am racing it is “find the box and crawl in B!!!!!!!”
Favourite training song / music track: It depends – as long as it sounds good loud!!!!!!!
