10 for 10 in 2022 – James

James has recently started working with me at F4L Triathlon Coaching.  He comes to the sport with a very different goal.  James is raising money for Macmillan Cancer Support with 10 endurance events culminating in IRONMAN Barcelona in October.

Why do you do Triathlon?

I do triathlon to show my kids I can do something. I want to be a positive role model and I don’t want to be a do what I say Dad I want to be a do what I do Dad.

What is your sporting background?

I come from a rugby league background. I’m new to endurance sport never having to run further than the length of the rugby field before.

What attracted you to F4L Triathlon Coaching?

I spoke to a few coaches via email and your response seemed to be most genuine and I felt that I was going to get the attention i need to get me to where I need to be. Your response was not about you it was about me.

What are your targets?

I have 10 endurance challenges culminating in an Ironman I want to not only survive the next 9 months I want to enjoy it.
