Introducing Clare. One of the newest members of the F4L Triathlon Coaching Team. Clare comes to F4L with the aim getting fitter, stronger and faster without putting too much pressure on herself to achieve this!
Why do you do Triathlon: At 46, I am keen to keep challenging myself and Triathlons certainly do that
What is your sporting background: My teens and early 20s were all about Athletics, namely 100m and 400M hurdles and the Shot putt. The highlight of every year was competing in English Schools Athletics Championships against the best hurdlers in the country. I just love the competition!
What attracted you to F4L: I could see Paul had a sense of humour! Personally, I need the structure but also need a coach to know when to use the stick or the carrot and think F4L is perfect for that
What are your targets: Sub 1.20 Sprint Tri. Sub 20Min 5k run and being able to swim 1500M open water
Favourite motivational quote: At the start of each Tri or longer race, is use “Run when you can, walk if you have to, Crawl if you must, just NEVER give up”. When I was younger it was probably more Jeremy Clarkson speed and power!
