Athlete: Scott Rennie (Scotty)
How long have you been in Triathlon: I’ve been in and out of triathlon for about 5 years now.
What is your back ground: I used to run a little bit at school as well as play various team sports (volleyball and cricket) and did little athletics as a youngster. Apart from that I work in mining, have three boys and I’m soon to be married to my gorgeous partner Hayley, who has a boy and a girl.
Greatest achievement outside Triathlon: Probably my kids.
Why do you do Triathlon: I like the challenges it brings, the sense of achievement at the end and the post race drinks!!
What attracted you to F4L: I was looking for some more structured training instead of just “winging it” I guess you could say. I find having a coach makes me more accountable as I feel i’m also letting someone else down if I skip too many sessions.
What are your targets: Over the next 12 or so months i’d like to go under 5:30 for a half Ironman and complete a full Ironman. Remaining injury free would also be nice!
Sum up F4L (in one line!): Expert guidance to help you achieve your multisport goals.
